Men's Football - sometimes depending on who (Working in G.Yarmouth for a while, went to a number of Norwich games and laughed when they played Man U - a lot of so-called fans turning up in red rather than yellow and green)
Rugby - Men - Yes #1 in my book
Rugby - Women -Occasionally e.g. the France-England game this past w/end.
Women's football - no
Cricket - yes #2 in my book
F1 - occasionally
Ice and snow sports - occasionally
Boxing - never in 1000 years
Tennis - Wimbledon and the other one before it.
Golf - occasionally - but which terrestial channel has it now?
snooker - occasionally but not all of a tournament like the one at the moment. Liskowski/Trump/Ronnie preferred.
Others - not often
Sports have 2 very basic differences - whether or not an opponent can directly affect your performance.
e.g. In darts, golf, running, gymnastics, swimming, diving, jumping, skiing, throwing stuff it's just the competitor trying to do his/her best.
In team sports & tennis, snooker, wrestling, boxing, etc. the oppo is actively trying to stop you winning.
I wonder how that affects spectators' interest/enjoyment.
