Good old-fashioned common sense and reasoning, something that will be vehemently denied, no doubt.

Pegasus, it's good news for a tiny few, but it makes no difference to the rest of us.

Funny how any good news is instantly poo pooed by the EW.

"Pegasus, it's good news for a tiny few, but it makes no difference to the rest of us."

Then surely when "bad news" is announced (e.g. "The UK is languishing 121st in the list of the world's exporters") then the same must apply - bad news for a few but it makes no difference to the rest of us.

However, it doesn't seem to work like that. Bad news is always greeted with accusations and blame: "It's the Tories' fault" "It's Sunaks's fault" and (especially) "It's because of Brexit".

Why is that, I wonder?

Because you're correct, NJ. It makes no difference to us, the great unwashed; the EW, whatever that is.

Is your standpoint, seriously, seriously, that if the UK was way way down the list of exporters that it makes no difference to the man in the street?

Crikey, I don't even know where to start with your ignorance.
