Good Morning, Birdies, and Happy Thursday to those who are breaking up from work today.

Sadly the weather doesn't look too promising and we decided not to go to Weymouth next week and have changed our booking to tag those days on to the beginning of our trip to Poole in July instead.

Wishing you a wonderful day and a lovely Easter holiday, whatever you decide to do.

Hey, Togo. Good to see you and Happy Easter to you ๐Ÿฃ. I hope you get to enjoy a pint or six ๐Ÿป

Just the one   ...   two if I am not driving, does me these days LadyCG. Did you happen to see my recomend for a good bottle of Chablis a day or so ago? Worth buying.

Oh thanks, Togo. I need a good bottle to take to his parents later. I do like a nice Chablis. ๐Ÿ‘

Can I ask, have you ever stayed at that Harbour Hotel in Christchurch? I think you stayed at the one in Salcombe...? We just wondered what it was like.

24 hours later?

Somewhat petty, cg.

I missed Togo's question from LAST NIGHT and now I'm answering it less than 12 hours later! No pettiness involved so put your wooden spoon away.

And it's LCG, as you well know.

Such a nice person you are, cg, oops I forgot it's LCG, I forgot the fact you consider yourself a "lady".

Better report me, like you do someone else๐Ÿคฃ

Not stayed in that one but besides the Salcombe Harbour Beach we have stayed at the St Ives Harbour and eaten there when not booked in. All the Harbour chain hotels are very good though. Like in all circumstances mind you do need good neighbours and pleasant temporary companions when you are there.  ๐Ÿ˜

Thanks, Togo. I do fancy the Carbis Bay one too.

I have often driven past that Hotel and it looks likeone I would be happy to stay in. I guess a tad pricey but Christchurch is quite upmarket.

If you like fresh seafood I can recommend the Thomas Tripp at the bottom of the High street and turn right into Wick Lane. I always pop in at lunch time for a pint or two and half a dozen oysters. Should be going down today with the wife but a stomach bug has left me hor's de combat and oysters might not be so clever. I have heard reasonable reports about the Bailey Bridge Hotel. There will be a fresh seafood shop at Mudeford Quay. The pub next door is very good but doesn't accept children. Not clever. Enjoy yourself.

Question Author

Thanks, Retro.  We have booked The Jetty at Mudeford for the Thursday night that we are in Poole.  We were considering tagging a night in the Harbour Hotel onto the end of our holiday and adjusting our reservation accordingly, but maybe another time.  I am looking forward to seeing the place nevertheless and it would be nice to find a child-friendly place to have a drink before we go for dinner.

Thanks again for the recommendations.
