Has anyone been following this story about the 15 year old Kriss(not sure of his second name) that was abducted by 4 Asian guys and murdered. The trial news is in the Scottish newspapers every day and i have got to the point I cant read it anymore.I have a son near that age and it makes me feel physically sick to know what that boy went through. It was a totally racially motivated attack and it beggars beleif what these people did.We all get desensitied with things we read in the newspapers but this time It has really hit a nerve.i know that not all muslims or people who have settled in this country are anything but law-abiding citizens but if it was the other way round i would still feel as sickened.theres something really chilling about this and i hope they get their karma somehow

i know sandyg..its horrific...that poor boy. i keep thinking about when the paper said that after they bundled him into the car he just kept saying that he was only 15 and he couldnt understand what he had done...my heart broke when i read that. I couldnt possibly imagine the pain and suffering he had when he died, and now his parents are re-living it....its so sad and like you i hope karma comes round dishes it out to those thugs.

i dont know why this story got to me so much, I felt physically sick today when i read the latest details.its not a race thing i-ts just that this racism thing caused such a sinister crime.I really feel for this poor boy's mother. Most people get desensitied to stories in the news, drug deals etc.i just cant help thinking of how this young boy got lifted off the street and got tortured to avenge the petty(racist) crime of someone else.he shoute out that he was only fifteen before they bundled him into the car.he had no interest in anyhting that was going on.he was an easy target.i hope these people rot in jail when they get found guilty as I know they will
Reading about the story has affected you so much and yet you can't mind on his surname, really? The surname is DONALD.
THECORBYLOON - why do you focus on some petty detail in an attempt to discredit someone elses heartfelt post? Why would not remembering someones surname detract from their sincerity?
He or she read the details to-day, felt physically sick and yet can't mind on the surname of Kriss. Does that not sound odd to you?
Not to me, no. The poster was more shocked at the news story to remember details that are tertiary to the article. But there you have it, what strikes a chord with you hasnt with me - what is the point you are making by drawing attention to this?
I don't think it's odd to forget names you've read. I do it all the time! but what I DO find odd is that someone has to pick up on this.........and post twice.
I posted twice because I was picked up on it the first time or am I not allowed to do that? If I had been reading about a case day in day out I would mind on the surname. Maybe it's the fact that it involves Asians and the poster has made anti-Muslim comments in the past that has made me have ma doubts.
as I imagined. You attempted to aleviate attention from a thread concerning a bonafide racist attack. So what if the person has made anti-Muslim comments in the past? Does that detract from what happened?
It is ma view that the comments were made not because of the facts but because Asians were involved. If such close attention was being paid on a daily basis why would you not know the surname? Is it perhaps an excuse to raise, yet again, the "spectre" of Muslims? Why indeed were Muslims even mentioned?
I don't know much about this case, but it's sickening for a 15 year old kid to die in that way, no matter what colour he was. I read that the police in Glasgow seem to be reluctant to tackle gangs of asian youths for fear of being accused of racism. It's over 25 years since I worked in Glasgow, it was a great place, but is this what is happening in your city now ?

the fact I didn't remember his surname? I didn't think that was important in the scheme of things or I would have took 2 seconds to find out in a search engine.I have to mention that although like many others on here I have had opinions about what's happening in this country today, concerning muslims,(and I dont deny it, why should I?), the fact it was 'asians' involved wasn't the reason to bring this to anyone's attention. It was the racist thing that upset me and really got me thinking.I have just been so upset by this story.I felt the same way when i read about those white guys in America tying a black guy to a truck.I come on this forum to get things off my chest like anyone else.I just hope that this young boy didn't die in vain and that it has made people realise despite recent events we all have to pull together and tolerate each other despite our different views. There's no other option really.
