Should the FM be concentrating on serious domestic issues, not least of which is their ever increasing drugs problem? She's had the referendum, the answer was given, don't turn it into an EUSSR style neverendum.

Totally sick of Nicola Sturgeon. As a Scot she does not speak for me, never has and never will. I voted No the last time and will do again. I hope like Salmond, if she loses the referendum she will fall on her sword and resign and Scotland will finally be free from that horrendous narcissistic witch!!

She multi-tasks - but not very well.
Is this attack on many fronts likely to be protracted, Tora?

You really should find a hobby.
It does seem an odd thing to be doing.
I wonder if Scotland politics is getting a wee bit like N Ireland.
There are plainly good people in the SNP just as there are a few good people in the DUP and Sinn Fein.
Collectively tho they don’t do a great job of a lot of the day to day stuff.
And yet people vote for them presumably for other reasons
Drugs Policy is not a devolved power to Scotland, it is run from Westminster by the Home Office.
If drugs use is out of control in Scotland (as implied in the OP) then it is the fault of the utterly useless Priti Patel.
// Collectively tho they don’t do a great job of a lot of the day to day stuff. //

Drugs is not their responsibility, it is Boris Johnson’s and Priti Patel’s. If they are not doing a great job, the Scottish voting public should vote them out.
It’s not just drugs of course
It’s pretty much everything else.
Never good when one party is in power too long
// She's had the referendum, the answer was given, don't turn it into an EUSSR style neverendum.//

Yes. Now do you remember a child-like innocent on AB
yes - AB
who day after day, turned Brexit into a never ender?
Yup often he would start 5 Brexit threads in a day
all in infantile rhyming slang
, full of foo's and " you are having a boo-boo"
and " fing fang dooly - as me auld ya-ya used to say"

you dont remember

you're lucky
//Drugs is not their responsibility,//
oh - - - is TTT on drugs?
no - - -
but he should be - - ter daah !
"Under existing arrangements the treatment and prevention of drug problems is devolved to the Scottish Government, however the control of drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 is reserved to the UK Government."

In 2021, there were 116 fewer drug-related deaths in Scotland.

I agree. But The Conservatives have been in power in the UK, longer than the SNP have in Scotland.

gromit: "If drugs use is out of control in Scotland (as implied in the OP) then it is the fault of the utterly useless Priti Patel. " - So Queen Nicola can't do owt about it then? Over ridden by PP? perlease, even by your standards that's crass. Can you imagine the blue woad flying if the UK home sec intervened in Scotland! You'd be the first one spitting out your highland freedom porridge! PMSL!
It also applies to the Conservatives.
My point is the SNP's record is not great, and neither is that of SF/DUP in N Ireland. And yet there seems little prospsect of any of them losing power (NI is a slightly different set up admittedly). So I was wondering: are domestic policies at the forefront of people's minds when they vote? Maybe so maybe not.
I'd also give NS her due: she is a formidable political figure, whatever you think of her.
Tora, this tripe is only here because your fantasy girl Truss and her eventual one-night stand are involved in basting the oven-ready deal and you want a diversion from the blinding incompetence exhibited.

Question Author
what?
I believe he is referring to a bit of a stramash involving a Brexit-related issue debated in the Commons yesterday.
No, lets have a UK wide referendum and get them on their way.

Enough of this whining we have enough problems without her. It's like a Jack Russel on yer leg.
Interesting point - if it was a nationwide referendum would the vote be to leave Scotland to its own devices? Would enough people bother to turn out to make it worthwhile holding?
only two thirds of the electorate bother to vote in a general election
