Why lumber the armed forces with them. Because they would knock them into shape in no time at all. Get the riff raff of the street and knock some sense into them before it gets even worse

15.26 Dave. Bang on they do make you work for your money and thats why they pay more. And the harder you work there the higher you go in the company, and thats how it should be. No one is going to pay you to sit there doing nothing for 8 or 12 hour shifts. As far as Aldi are concerned, if you don't want to work, we don't want you, if you do, we will pay you well. There's a young girl I know through my daughters that has been there and done it, and is now a store manager on  healthy income at just 26 years old. She says the work shy are sorted within 1 or 2 weeks, shes known them leave after only a couple of days. Dead beats!!

Another good idea coming from Labour was to reintroduce National Service which I agree with, for the eighteen year old male and female non workers..I/E get a job or get called up .That would soon get them off the sofa.

Why lumber the armed forces with them?  They don't want them

National Service would be a disaster today.  When we did have NS, there were no 'no win, no fee' lawyers, the average 21 year old never thought of suing a government body.  There would be claims for pyschological trauma, personal injury, bullying, discrimination - the list would be endless.

Mr NiceBloke 18.41 For Best answer once again .You are always Spot on ,and so truthful with your replies.

what's happening? I'm agreeing with Gully and nicebloke!

There are many ex armed forces not in shape now, homeless, jobless and generally messed up.  And they volunteered.  Why haven't they been knocked in to shape?

Making excuses barry  for the so called down and out is another big problem this country has got. There will always be the odd sad case, but we now have far to many pulling the wool over our eyes, or pulling a fast one if you like, it needs urgent attention. Thks for BA GULLY. I'm getting worried about TTT :0)

....I must be dreaming!🙄

Question Author

TTT @ 19.28  "I must be dreaming" But your biggest nightmare will be when Labour get the keys to no 10 later this year .Woo Hoo.

Well if they sort out the WSS problem that'll be a good consolation prize.

Probably a waste of time and money trying to bring back national service for these young lay abouts as The Royal navy ships keep breaking down Their nuclear subs can't fire missiles and now the RAF are sending pilots abroad for training due to a shortage of British jets due to engines catching fire. All thats left for them is to put them in the good old Pioneer Corps.
