You could ask the same question of many real celebrities. Why is there a statue of the comic duo Morecame and Wise?
They are very popular and placed in places where they have an association. Amy Winehouse was liked by thousands and she happened to live in and frequent Camden Market. She was not my cup of tea but she entertained many and my wife enjoyed her singing.
