Rory Stuart. Opinions?

I've just received Rory's book of memoirs from our local library. 95 pages in and it's fascinating. Have any of you read it?

I haven't read it but he does a podcast with Alistair Campbell called The Rest Is Politics which I listen to regularly and enjoy.

he did, some years ago. Did you somehow not notice how much better the country has been doing since then?

Far too honest to be a politician. I remember him promising on air to resign if he didn't meet some target on prisons within a year.

I thought at the time, blimey you aren't going to last long in politics if you're prepared to say that kind on thing on telly.

I noticed I didn't have to put up with him and his opinions after he didn't get the top job. Beyond that I wasn't fussed.

fripfrip. Did you read any of his book? It gives a good idea of what politics is all about. My view is that he is an intelligent and hard-working man.
