Easyjet Luggage Allowance

Never having travelled on EasyJet before, I am trying to find out if we have to pay for one big case to go into the hold, along with hand luggage for two people.
I have looked at the EasyJet site but cannot make head nor tail out of it.
We are going away for a week to Scotland.

Should we try to cram everything into two hand luggage cases, or should we just relax and fill a big case with all we need?

I book most of my trips as Easyjet holidays and generally the allowance is 23kg per person hold and 10kg per person carry-on, which is included in the price.

Little one gets the same allowance as us as he's full price now.
It all depends what you booked and paid for.

Thanks, LCG. That's useful to know.
The hold luggage is only free when booking an Easyjet holiday. Just booking a flight you have to pay, pice dependent on weight.
If you just turn up at the airport, without having paid for your bag to go into the hold in advance, you'll be charged £40 (or £48 if you manage to get to the gate without checking it in first).

If you pay online beforehand, you'll be charged 'from £6.99' if the weight doesn't exceed 15kg or 'from £9.49' for up to 23kg. If your bag is heavier than that, you'll be charged the fee for 23kg plus £3 per extra 1kg.

I've found both Easyjet and Jet2 to be realistic and honest with their baggage policies.
Not so much of the 'slot it in the frame', more of a quick glance to check that it complies with their terms.

For a summer trip to Auld Scotia you'll not need much anyway, enough clean underwear for the duration, a warm fleece and a raincoat plus a midgie hood if venturing to the north west.

Summer clothing is always available on the sale racks as it's ordered more in hope than a basis in reality and vendors are keen to move it on. :-)
They keep changing the policy so my experience may not be relevant now.

Last time I flew with them it was worth going for the 'up front seats'.
A bit more than simply paying for seat selection, but it gave you the right to a small piece of hand luggage and a wheelie bag. No waiting for a suitcase from the hold.

Thank you all for your answers. We eventually rang our travel company and were assured that out seats were booked and the hold and cabin luggage would be free. (If within the weight limits)
