Think you will find hand luggage has to be within the right size not weight - it is not weighed at check-in.

Looks like there is a weight allowance as well as a size restriction...20kg I think.

Are you also remembering about the security, only 100ml of liquid....this applies to toiletries...
We flew with them 2 weeks ago. There isn't any weight restriction for hand baggage on easyjet, but the bags have to fit in the little rack at check in, and in the overhead luggage racks, and you can still only have one piece of hand baggage (no separate handbags). As ladyalex says, liquids up to 100ml are allowed but have to be in a clear sealed plastic bag and showed at security.
20kg is the weight allowance for checked-in suitcases, not hand baggage.
Youi have to be capable of lifting it unaided into the overhead locker, plus it must be within the size restriction. No weight restriction as such
It has to be within the specified dimensions... as for weight, it's "within reason".
