and its not just a case of having unprotected sex and then taking a pill. Sometimes docs wont give you it after you've explained your cycle to them, when you were last on etc, as you may not need it.

oh and if you get it from chemist expect to answer questions and pay �20 too

If you do take it, it can make you feel a bit queasy, and bring your period on sooner x

Yeah in agreement with spk. When I took it I had little cramping pains in my stomach and felt quite sick. But then, better that than be preggers!!! If you need to take it, make sure you do it asap xx

A little horror story for you here wonderwoman (just so that if you or whoever takes it realises that they might still be pregnant after taking the pill, not 100 % guaranteed). I was breastfeeding this year, supposedly a natural contraceptive anyway, so for added protection used the mini pill too. My partner and I always used condoms because his foreskin would often tear when we had sex (alittle too much information probably). Now one night the condom broke and as I had had a little upset tummy about 9 days before I thought it best to get the morning after pill, to be on the safe side. Went the very next day took it. 2 weeks later have light period, yay!!
Thought nothing more of it..... 4 weeks later,boobs start hurting like mad, and I am puking in the morning. Bloody pregnant after all that.

So if you do use it make sure you test if your period doesnt show up.
