As Sunak decides to take on The Unions. And introduce Anti strike laws.
As Britain heads for more of winter discontent. The Tories have created these strikes themselves, as surging inflation follows more than ten years of stagnant wage growth leaving workers struggling to make ends meet.
............Look what happend to Thatcher ,when she tried it . "End of"
I think you'll find TGL smashed the unions to bits me old china. The unions will get similarly hammered because their strike action is political, they think they can bring down a government. A large number of the strikers are not in favour of the strikes.
The balance is manifestly unfair. Thatcher's Union legislation means that Unions have to take considerable time before taking action, but the same Lady's Big Bang in the City meant the Rich Toffs can bankrupt the country almost instantly with just a few keystrokes. Look what the City did in 2008 to bring the Labour Government down - but that's OK because they're the filthy rich. But let the country's real wealth-earners (i.e. the workers) have the same facility - "ooooh that's not right" scream the Right Wing Media and their sycophants.
///A large number of the strikers are not in favour of the strikes.///
You need to get your facts straight - your beloved idol's legislation insists on a ballot before strike action is allowed. An even larger number are in favour .
canary: "You need to get your facts straight - your beloved idol's legislation insists on a ballot before strike action is allowed. An even larger number are in favour . " - I have, a sizeable amount of union members are against the strikes. Yes, more are in favour but for real validity they'd want to have the support of nearly all their colleagues. They do not have that. They have been offered very generous amounts and the more sensible ones want to accept. It is only the union extremists playing politics with people lives that keeps them on strike.
Thatcher hated the working class and the Unions and they hated her. Wind the clock forward to the present day .. Not a lot has changed Sunak and his fellow millionair +++ MPs, still hate the unions and couldnt give a toss for the working class. Lets hope the red wall comes crahing down on the Tories at the next GE.
The sad thing is groups with powerful unions get bigger payrises, putting up costs , fuelling inflation, but those who suffer most are those in minimum wage jobs, pensioners and the unemployed. So the union's that support the Labour party are indirectly the enemies of the poor.
I think you will find that most people, who are sick and tired of having their lives ruined by strikers, will support any action taken by ANY Government that will reduce the impact that these people have on those who just want to get on with their lives.
