It's Wednesday and only only four more sleep 'til Santa.
I hope those of you who are looking forward to it are feeling festive and are all ready for the big day. I've only got to make stuffing, gravy and pudding and collect one more gft.
Smow, are you afraid of the dark? There really is no need to be. I'll lend you my torch if you want over these winter months. I've only just replaced the batteries.
I'm still hard at work. But at least I have a fire to sit in front of and two maniacs to entertain me.
Mr BM has just gone shopping. I am laughing because it's bedlam out there and he will soon realise why I absolutely hate it this time of year. And I said that seeing as he was out he can go and get kitten food - and that shopping complex is murder at the best of times. Welcome to my world, love!
No, because I am a nasty mummy. They have got more than enough toys. Although I asked Mr BM to get them some chewy toys. They are teething at the moment and gumming everything, poor things. Their thing of choice to gum is either my thumb or my big toe.
Good morning LCG,
Had grandson stay with us last night, as his Mummy, ( my daughter) has terrible cold & cough. Her right lung is infected and is on strong antibiotics. Sounds the same as what you have. Little one was crying for his Mum last night. This morni ng, he asked if he could stay another night, as it's nice and warm in my bed :-))
LadyCG: Yeah, the Council sent out a dog warden to try and catch Beaky the 2nd (that's what I call him :p, as Beaky the 1st used to be the African Grey I used to own). Beaky the 2nd is way too smart for the dog warden.
Still ropey with pleuritic pain, but thank you for asking. Can't get through to my GP Practice and the "ask a Dr a question" online form is temporarily unavailable so I found the GP on Outlook and emailed him directly. We'll see what happens.
Good luck with contacting your/a GP. I've noticed a few threads on AnswerBank from people having problems with getting in contact with their/a doctor; we don't seem to be having that problem where we live, or at least I haven't noticed any problems. I'm thankful for that.
Thanks very much. My chest x-ray is clear so I guess I'm just dealing with the after-effects of pneumonia now which will probably continue for a few weeks. I have a "Paramedic" appointment at my GP Practice later - never had one of those before - so I'll ask for some better painkillers and another inhaler.
I'm so relieved and now I can enjoy my Christmas :-)
What painkillers are you on at the moment, if you don't mind me asking? Having a spare inhaler is always a good idea, especially over Christmas, where seeing a doctor is less likely to happen. I make sure to have a couple of each (blue, brown, and then 2 different powered inhalers).
