Dirty Road Signs.

Has anyone noticed how dirty some street and town road signs are, i think it gives a bad impression. It appears to be something the councils have overlooked, or cannot afford to clean them. ?.

There's no money to clean them. Five years ago, the budget for cleaning signs around here in Suffolk was only £1 per sign per year:

I do clean the cul de sac sign when it gets too dirty to read, i get fed up of HGVs trying to turn on my drive

Some road signs, such as those to Stoke-on-Trent, are probably best left covered up anyway ;-)
