A couple of days ago I chipped a bottom right back tooth(I can’t even see it!) but, my tongue rubs against it every time I talk, drink, you name it, to the point that I now have a raw wound on the right side of my tongue which is so painful that I can’t eat anything. (It’s a fabulous diet lol). I’ve been gargling with warm salt water, and putting anesol on it, but is there anything I can put on it as the pain is dreadful. It’s just one of those things that you can’t rest………

Can you get hold of any Chloraseptic spray? It numbs rather well and is antiseptic too, contains benzocaine.

Yes Ive got some chloraseptic spray here. It’s ridiculous how such a small cut/sore can hurt so much!
I'm no expert but Anusol may get to the bottom of it.
No matter what you put on it, the problem will recur until the sharp tooth is sorted.
Been there, and while awaiting dental appointment I used the remedy recommended above by roopower. It takes surprisingly little filing to neutralise the sharpness.

A continuing sore on the tongue can be dangerous according to my dentist - he booked a return visit to check it was healing (which it was fortunately).
Get an emergency appt: at dentist. He will file it down at least. Happened to me a few months ago. Very painful.
