Hi there. The water takes quite a while to heat up from my kitchen sink tap. I have a combi boiler and it's been serviced without showing any issues. Does anyone know why it could take so long to heat up when it doesn't from the bathroom tap?

is the kitchen much further from the boiler than the bathroom?
Is it a thermostatic mixer tap?
If so, it might be developing a fault in the cartridge.

Yes the boiler is very close to the bathroom tap and the kitchen is a lot further away.

It is a mixer tap but I don't know if it's thermostatic?
The distance would make a difference.
Am I the only one (having read OP's 15.14 reply) thinking....what the***?
The distance obviously matters, also how the pipe runs between the boiler and tap.
If the heating is on, hot water should come through quicker than if the heating is off.
