Can anyone help me. I am trying to find out where in the Holy Bible there is any reference to the Rainbow Bridge to which all dog lovers seem to refer. Presumably it's the doggie-entrance to Heaven. Am I right ?

Dear Sir, writes The Revd Peter "Woolly" Wolton, in the Times today

The queue to venerate our late Queen has been likened to pilgrims in earlier times travelling to be in the presence of a saints' relics. ( Credo, Letters) Both the People and the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster have stressed her steadfast witness of her faith in Jesus Christ and her firm hope in his Promises. One of the stages in canonisation which is handled by the Vatican is whether the candidate who must be a Roman Catholic led a life of 'heroic virtue'. Many consider this to be a hallmark of the life of Elizabeth II. It is a curious thought that if the Supreme Head of the Church of England had been a Roman Catholic, she may in time have been considered for canonisation.
That may explain all the gun salutes.
WOW!
Peter.....
With half a dozen lines of quotation,
(From some obscure priest...not even from your denomination)
You have managed to convert me...NOT!!!!

Is the Vatican going to canonize Elizabeth 11 anytime soon?
My understanding is that the Rainbow Bridge comes from Norse mythology. Bifrost (pronounced Bif roast)is the Rainbow Bridge which connects Asgard, the home of the Nordic gods, with Midgard, the world of men on earth.
This is a description of the history (norse), and the modern poem that most pet lovers refer to when mentioning Rainbow Bridge and was written by a grief counsellor...
