as answered on another thread, becoming PoW isn't automatic, it's up to the king. Charles became PoW at 9 or thereabouts but wasn't invested until 21. William is way older than both these ages, so it could be any time or none.
Prince William will be next in line to the throne and therefore Prince of Wales.
As has been said, it's not automatic, William.

Emmie, Edward was likely to get Edinburgh. Wales is always the eldest son of the monarch although it is up to the modern March when that takes place. I would expect it to be after the coronation, and yes there will almost certainly be an investiture in wales. Probably with far less pageantry, in keeping with more restrained times.
In tonight's speech, Charles conferred the Prince of Wales title upon William - good!
