It was bound to happen.

He looked so cute in his little uniform. He seemed a bit unsure at first but, after kissing us both goodbye, he walked off holding his water cup in one hand and his new teacher's hand in the other. He never looked back.

I was choked as I walked away and OH just laughed at me.

I'm choked up now.

He unfortunately sat on the loo at school, but didn't quite sit on it enough, and he ended up peeing into his trousers rather than the toilet. When I went to fetch him he came out in some very baggy shorts.

You are not alone. I had to force back tears as my younger daughter ran off eagerly ahead of her teacher at her first day at school.

Move on a good few years to the Ladies loos at Durham Uni. as I prepared to leave my elder daughter there as she began her course. It was hard to get in because of sobbing mums, to try to patch-up make-up was all but impossible because everyone was trying to get in front of the mirror bent on the same repair job.
My eyes kept leaking all the way down the A1 until we got home.

Both mine were fine, yours will be, but it's a huge wrench. My then OH couldn't understand either.

Does he know he’s got to go again tomorrow? My friend’s little boy went on his first day and thought that was it. Just a day out.

He seems to get it and judging by the photo he brought home with him he was happy while he was there.

My Grandson started today, too. His Mum & Dad both took him this morning. Sent me photogrsphs in his new uniform. He looked so sweet but slightly nervous.. His Dad took today off and they all went somewhere after school. Haven't heard from them yet. Im sure he wss fine though. Just mornings this week.

This one has only got two mornings this week and then it's full-time from next week.
