Can anyone please help? My missus accidently put my car keys inc R/Fob through the washing machine and despite there still being power to the fob,( i.e the led still comes on) it no longer works on the car, so its stuck on my drive with the alarm and immobiliser on. Do I need to reprogramme it and if so how?

The fob has probably got water in the circuit and is disabling the signal.
Carefully prise apart the key fob with knife or thin screwdriver and dry with tissue or better still warm hair dryer.
Good Luck!

Thanks , I already tried that as it happened 2 days ago I also cleaned the circuit board but still nothing any other ideas?
Failing having a spare key to use - Have you tried opening it with the key (the alarm will probably go off) and then placing the key in the ignition and turning it. My BMW had a duff 2nd key and if I had to use it this is what I had to do. It depends on the car and the key whether it has a chip in it etc.The alarm turned itself off on mine as soon as I turned the key as it recognised it being the right key.
