I bought a complete gala pork pie with egg from my local butchers on 23rd December. It was completely sealed in its plastic sleeve until i opened it on 25th December.
I have kept it in my fridge since i bought it but we have only eaten half of it - use by date on wrapping is 4th January 2022 - can i freeze it either cut into slices or whole ?

I wouldn't, as you have no way of knowing if the pork had been previously frozen.
Once opened, should be eaten within 3 days. Throw it out.
What happened to my answer...?

Ah...I see the thread has been reposted
My answer was that the use by date is only applicable as long as unopened, and that freezing of leftovers is best done as soon as possible after opening.
