sleep problems

my 7 years old daughter screams and shout at bedtime.this can go on for 2-3 hours every night. we try taking her back up to bed but she runs into her bed before us and insists that we 'tuck her in and say ni-night'. this has become a habit and an increasing problems. she has over the last year been unsettled at school but is doing ok now. help?
