Rose and Giovanni...took my breath away, and brought tears to my eyes. Brilliant.

I'm all for giving confidence to deaf children and encouraging gay people to be themselves but Strictly is a dance competition. It's about the technical stuff, the footwork, the framework, the choreography ... its not about being "inclusive" or "enlightening" or ensuring minorities are not left out.

Without going too far off-topic a prime example would be the blatant hijacking of Mother's Day by single or co-habiting Fathers. Cards have now made their way onto the shelves that read, "To my Dad(s) on Mother's Day."

Mother's Day is for mothers, Father's Day is for fathers and dancing competitions are for dancing.

She's a beautiful girl though and such an amazing talent and I'm sure will go far.
Yes I too thought it was beautiful and poignant but I do not believe it deserved to be only 1 point below the Charleston. In Rose's dance there was not much technicality in it.
have to agree MTW.
What is the criteria for "couple's choice" anyway?
Wow! Was blown away by the Charleston, absolutely amazing! Rhys looked truly professional
@20:55 To be fair (and I haven't watched Strictly for several years) yes it is about the footwork, the framework, the choreography which is why Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake is so popular. It's not my cup of tea but art is art and that's what it's all about.
When the silence came on, I thought something was wrong with my TV !! Didn't think it was necessary at all. Agree with everything LGC says. I LOVE the charleston and last night's performance was superb, he well deserved all those points.
