Indeed. And on the news today I saw a policeman in some Godforsaken cess pit of a town, embracing the Taliban personnel when they arrived to overrun it. The UK and US forces trained and equipped the Afghan armed forces and police to keep order. They don’t even try. They expect western forces to do it for them. I agree with President Biden – enough is enough. Some things you can help improve, others you cannot. Afghanistan falls into the latter category. There’s no reason why US and UK lives – let alone money - should be risked to protect such a place. It is essentially ungovernable and will remain so probably forever.

Whether she received a financial reward for the interview, (10:57 Fri.) I know not, but being co-operative with free western media is a good 'career' move for someone in her precarious position.
One thing is certain though, she is a Muslim whatever, & her outlook (Weltanschauung) is different from yours (& certainly very different from mine!).
