i couldn't find the right words so i hope that Christina Rossetti's poem would explain,

I, too, am thinking of her. She looked such a small, forlorn figure at the funeral but we all know she is made of sterner stuff.
Now the funeral is over I'm sure she will rally.
She is very lucky to have had such love for 73 years. Most of us never have that. As has been said the down side is when you lose them.

And in line with sandyRoe, the greater the love the more the grief, but if you knew in advance you would still do it all over again.

The sailors wives motto. " I will not sink' she wont, but I hope she steps back for a while, time enough for duty.

she had already fulfilled one engagement before the funeral i believe. There will be many who want her to continue on, i hope she gets solace from her mostly close knit family.
