have to say I agree with this teacher regarding pupils looking like prostitutes, Kardashian clones and spending more money on prom than they could afford, as well as awful fake tans, being shoehorned into dresses and so on.
Having read down though, he criticized his boss and I reckon that's what done for him!

Little story from sqad.
First year at Uni went to a dance at Hockerton Training College Bishops Stortford.
I picked my victim for the evening who had a blouse, knee length skirt, tie loosely applied and the college blazer with badge.
I came over pretty well and she was lapping up the old patter when I noticed the college moto on her blazer...it was.?......ONWARDS and UPWARDS.

My 16 year old granddaughter's school has a strict dress code. All wear a uniform of trousers (boys and girls) white shirt/blouse with tie, v-neck jumper and a blazer in school colours. Having said that my lass's eyebrows and eyelashes are a sight for sore eyes - must take her an hour to get them just right lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but your point appears to be that part of a teacher's role is to insult the appearence and self-worth of young people because that will toughen them up and make them ready for the 'real world'.
Since, in due course, the same young people will actually be the real world, wouldn't it be better to simply indulge their need to express their still forming personalities externally, as teenagers have done for over sixty years, rather than simply belittle them and insult them?
Because I for one, would not like to give them the message that this is what 'the real world' is actually like - rather that they are going to have the power to actually change the wrong attitudes in the world they are growing into.
Teaching tolerence and respect for each other is surely the message we want our young people to understand?
Bullying and belittling people who have no power to answer back is not going to build a world I would want for my grandchildren. That simply teaches them that power is there to be abused, and respect does not matter.
This teacher's arrogant and pompous opinions may sit well in the chatterspehere where any idiot can be as rude as they like under the cloak of keyboard anonimity, but referring to pupils in his care in this dreadful hurtful way shows how unsuited he is to teach anything to anyone - except arrogance and stupidity, and there is already too much of that around as it is.
