Nice Surprise!

In the post this morning we had a letter from TV licensing, it enclosed a check for £157.50 being a refund for the licence we paid.
No reason in the letter. WE are mystified but has anyone else had this.

neighbour got a munf rebate ( thruppence) because he turned 75 for a month and then an incessant demand for the moolah because the over 75s now had to pay

we paid but thousands didnt - havent

I got a letter saying yes you have a licence since you asked
( and yup I hadnt asked)

so I think the situation is normal - absolute chaos

Almost as good as the council tax refund we once found waiting for us in our return from holiday in Tunisia: for more or less the cost of the holiday.

Didn’t think anyone sent cheques these days?? I would have thought they’d have just transferred the money into your account. Would have also said scam like Sqad, but you never know.

A scam would most likely ask for Bank details to pay your refund into - sending out a bogus piece of paper won't get a scammer far.
