The Right Hon Jeremy Hunt was pulled up by the Speaker of the House of Commons during a video link today for his dress code, as he was wearing an open necked shirt against the dress code as directed by the House of Commons.

Well done Mr Speaker.

Most of you springing to Jeremy's defence are (probably deliberately) missing the point. It's nothing to do with "clothes maketh the man" or "surgeon in pyjamas was excellent", or "men in suits can be awfully behaved" etc., it's to do with following the HoC Code. He didn't, so was rightly reprimanded.

Guess.. being a gentleman, I have to say ladies first. We need to see you in your mini before I show off my bell bottoms!
My phone changes an.. N.. to a 'U' sorry!
Meet you in the Strathclyde then. I’ll show you mine and you show me yours. :-)
Sorry.. I'm tier 4 !!!
Wuss. I’m level 5 and I was going to make the effort. :-)
Mine and my husband's first date wasn't a raging success as I could barely get a word out of him (turns out he was crippled with nerves) but one thing I noticed on first sight was how smart he looked. I could tell he had really good dress sense and he'd made a lot of effort. I was instantly attracted to him.
I remember my first date with my ex ( late) husband, he was so smart in his light grey suit, jacket with vents in the back, a crisp white shirt and a navy knitted tie, had one of those cardboard three pointed hankie on a stiff card in the breast pocket, ( well it was 1966)
Were you widowed, Bobbi, or divorced?

I must admit when I drove home from our first date I didn't think I'd see him again. I mistook the lack of conversation for him being bored / uninterested. That was 19 November 2015 - 3 months later we moved in together.
Divorced, we became like a brother and sister Lcg ,it was a very amicable split though
Thank goodness for that. Shirts that are meant to be buttoned up and with a tie just look sloppy when left open. Not casual. Shirts with a collar and revere are the ones to wear if they don't want to wear a tie.
Well at least you saw sense and set each other free.

I stayed in a relationship for nearly 15 years because I was afraid of the unknown. I was so glad to be a free person in the end.
Yes, we were friends and I was sad he passed away
I stayed friends with my ex too. He was the one who came down and rescued me when that evil, disgusting lying, cheating piece of detritus tried to ruin my life. I cleared out the joint account and stripped that house bare and then I gave everything from the dining table to the washing machine to my nice ex when he moved house. Revenge is oh so sweet :-)
I remember that, what a W- A -N -K-Er he was , but to get to the best ,you go through the worst first :0))
I really believe ( even on here) Revenge is a dish served cold :0))
//Revenge is best in a dish served cold ///
A few years ago Amanda Owen and I were at the local farmers ball in formal dresses of course, and were laughing as we both thought we looked like transvestites we were so muscled up with working full time on the Farm lol!
