loved him from the time he was on the Michael Parkinson show,
Apart from his performance in Mrs Brown with Judy Dench, which I thought excellent, I never liked him. A loud, coarse man who depended upon bad language for his laughs.

his travel shows were always excellent, riding his motorbike through spectacular places, and meeting some very funny and interesting people
