And I don't think it's too early TTT, fireworks have been going off for weeks round here and the shops have been full of Christmas stuff, also for weeks. So why shouldn't you have a poppy avatar? Like I said, I would, if I could.
".....The need to publicly signal your virtues through ostentatious displays of support for ideas you think have value is nothing but a liberal cancer...."
// is it? how? I thought it was 25p in the pound?//
tax at 40% boosts to 166% - I do all the charity giving in the family
( grossed up). I cannot resist giving govt money to charities
If you are paying 20% tax - tax £125 at 20% and you magically get back to £100
sorry PP still don't get it - I read the fift aid gov website which says this: Example
You donate £100 to charity - they claim Gift Aid to make your donation £125. You pay 40% tax so you can personally claim back £25.00 (£125 x 20%).
Roy, //It's not the changing of the avatar that's virtue signalling, naomi...it's the announcement of the changing of the avatar.//
If TTT wasn’t encouraging others to do likewise to support the cause I might regard it as virtue signalling but as it is I don’t. I think it’s a thoughtful gesture.
