Your day been?

I've had a day at my laptop, surrounded by tile samples, paint colour charts, etc. searching high and low. At length I have found the hallway light, the living room lights, a mirror and bedside lamps for the spare room, a console table for the hallway (but need to find a mirror to go above) and some lovely grey oak flooring. OH found some lovely built-in wardrobes for the spare room.

Builders are in tomorrow and Tuesday to do the build at the front of the house, hopefully we can get the carpenter and roofer to come and do their stuff too.

I think I'm going to kick back now with a glass of chardonnay.

I hope you've all had a good day.

A laid back one with a nice Sunday lunch , the usual for a Sunday here
It's been great.

Spent some time working on a series of talks I am due to deliver on P & O cruise ships if and when they ever start cruising again (!) and watching some tv. Nice and relaxing.
I have not done much today, had a couple of visitors this afternoon though.
Sounds a productive day for you LCG, be wonderful when you're done.

The usual Sunday for me,lots of crosswords and a roast dinner.

Sounds lovely, Bobbi. I had a nice Sunday lunch at my mum's last weekend but unfortunately my present oven is so unreliable that a home-cooked Sunday lunch is not feasible.

That sounds good, Andy. I do hope the Cruise industry recovers. A cruise is on my bucket list.

Sounds like the perfect day, Marval :-)

Sounds like bliss, Mamya. One day when we're all finished (and we're a long way off yet) I really will look forward to kicking back on a Sunday and enjoying time in the garden doing Crosswords and reading.
Weather has been somewhat disappointing here otherwise we'd have ate al fresco

It was a bit of a dull start here, Bobbi, but sunny and very warm later on.

What did lunch consist of, PP?
Quiet day for me. Just me and himself at home most of the day. That was nice.
Started our day at Pets At Home looking for flea stuff. Then spent about 3 hours spraying the house in case we had a problem. Fingers crossed we caught it if there was one.
Blimin dogs!

Funny you should mention that, Rocky, I got bitten round the neck and shoulders at my parents' house and my mother admitted that the dog likes to go and lie over the pillows in their spare room. Thankfully she had a spray to spray over the mattress and bedding and I didn't get bitten further after that.
My old Yogi never ever had fleas and never once did I treat him. This herbert that I have now seems to be the antiyogi in everything. Still love him though
A pleasant, steady day. Bit the bullet and cleaned the shower-room. Very hard-water here and the limescale builds up; so it's neat white vinegar all round. OH gardened and harvested dwarf French beans which we've eaten for tea. A friend brought around a bag of excess runner beans, which I have prepped and frozen.

Looked at emails, deleted a load, walked dog and visiting dog. Started a new book (having finished one) and managed 45 mins. keyboard practice.

Perhaps I should explain that since it is Beethoven's anniversary I set myself a target of playing 'Fur Elise'. Rather a stretch for someone who last played it aged about 10 and hasn't really touched a keyboard for about 55 years! However, I can get through it (not very well) and am also working on Clementi sonatinas. Doing wonders for the arthritis in my left wrist and hand, although hurt at first.
Cooked very tasty sirloin steak on offer from Tesco. Yes, a decent day, thanks - hope yours was as good.
We had a barbecue today it was lovely .

Sounds like a very pleasant day, Jourdain. How are your grandchildren and daughter now?
LadyCG. Thanks for asking, one daughter and granddaughter fine, if struggling for money due to lockdown, the problem one went from good to a current frigidity. I trailed 57 miles each way to collect kids and educate them, sleeping over in Winter - so she could get teaching qualification done and - hooray! She got it a few weeks ago and starts as a prob. teacher in Sept. - so she has a future. Phew! After that it gets complicated and she's not currently speaking to me (I had my own opinion regarding something). C'est la vie.
my day has been hot and sweaty
