typo on london sorry,
Protest or riot?

George Floyds death is tragic and should never have happened. And one can but hope proper justice is done. Not lip service and not a witch hunt. But I truly fear that even if they hung him from a tree as a symbol it wouldn’t be enough.

But the level of media is to my mind over the top. It is inciting violence, criminality and destruction. Stop feeding the mob.

Why don't these people take their protests to the scene of the crime?
Boris. You are now the Prime Minister not the London Mayor!
Appeaser May is no longer Home Secretary. Get those bloody water cannon back and dampen their enthusiasm. This is America's problem and not for the UK tax payer to suffer. This will not bring Floyd back from the dead!
A man tragically died at the hands of a copper in America and people in London are protesting about it.

That is just mental.
I wonder if, like a lot of the American ‘protestors’, people will protest by stealing.
To what ends are they protesting? It's not a British matter, so I don't see what they hope to achieve. Sou ds like an excuse to get out into the sun.

As long as they stay peaceful, no worries. Uness they want to nick them for not self-isolating, that could be doable. Maybe they can protest by Zoom instead.
and no doubt a heft majority of them who arent social distancing are screaming for DC to be sacked...typical hypocritical leftie vermin, rent-a-mob.com always guaranteed to turn out for a demo...if the weather is nice..
It looks like a lot of these demonstrators are not socially-distancing...the cops,as usual, arent doing their job.As for DC,the less i hear about this serpent the better.
What has Mayor Sadiq Khan to say about it?
Not much Naomi. Only quote I could find was this in the Independent from before the protest started.

//Just before Trafalgar Square filled up, London mayor Sadiq Khan tweeted: “Lockdown has not been lifted. The virus is still out there.” He advised people to stay at home as much as possible, keep a social distance when outside and avoid public transport.//

I'm not on ***, so can't tell you if he's tweeted anything since.
***= Twitter, which I may or may not have spelt with a @.

They are protesting in other countries in Europe too.

I can see the infection rate sky rocketing in the US. Its already very high.
17.27,With Cummings and Boris.
I’m a Londoner and Khan is an awful Mayor. Boris was 10 times better; even the anti-Semite Livingstone was better than Khan.
Watching tv news just now.I thought Khan was all for covid-19 socially distancing measures. From what i see the demonstators are not following his advice.Perhaps Khan is just another Cummings type...do as i say,not as i do. Is the guy fit for office?
