We are going out on Tuesday for the first time since 15th March.
We are meeting up with four friends at one of their houses. We are taking our own food, drink, glasses, table and chairs. We will sit 2 metres apart but it will be wonderful to see them all again. We will reach their back garden via a side passage. I can't wait, I feel like a child with a pending treat.
Only been out in the car for a ride about 5 times, a walk up or down the road outside and that's it.
Family do all shopping and getting newspapers each day. But we really are getting to the end of our tethers.

Thank you Rosie29
Good for you. And just as well you've arranged it for Tuesday - it's going to rain on Wednesday!

That was the thinking behind it too brainiac.
It sounds good. The furthest I have been since a week before official lockdown is the end of my drive to put my recycling bins out.
Question Author
Georgiesmum it's dire isn't it? I made a habit of walking to the end of our drive everyday just to look up and down the road. I have gone to the post box a little way off to post my weekly crosswords but only get out of the car to do that.
Caran, why have you not been out, even for a walk? Do you have a medical condition that prevents you?
Enjoy your day out on Tuesday Caran, you both deserve it

Brainiac if you look in my OP I did say we had been for walks up and down the road.
But we both have difficulties with walking. Can only do a little bit. I have pains in my back and hips. OH has legs that don't do as he wants, he wobbles a bit and feels very insecure. We both use walking sticks.
Yes, Caran,it is pretty dire. I cant even go anywhere in a car because I live on my own so any friends or family are from a different household so not allowed.
Sorry to hear that, no wonder you've had enough. I'm lucky that I live in a village and it's been easy to go out and avoid the few people who are about. It's strange crossing the road when someone comes towards you - something that would have been seen as rude only a few months ago.
It will seem very strange when I finally do go out as Im severely sight impaired.
