I'm really not sure how because some posters expess their dislike of MB (as a performer) they can be described as nasty. There was a whole thread concerning the World at Home concert last night where an awful lot of the artists were described in less than complimentary terms. None of the posters on that thread were accused of being nasty!
Or is this more about "let's attack the poster rather than the post"?
Just for the record, I love the way Captain Tom has captured the heart of a lot of the nation (and I have a bit of a soft spot for him as he was in the same regiment as my grandfather). I am also pleased that the single is raising yet more more money. But I do not care for MB or his singing very much at all.
Barmaid: "I'm really not sure how because some posters express their dislike of MB (as a performer) they can be described as nasty" - that's not the point. On a thread like this why comment just to say you don't like who's singing? Just don't comment that's the decent thing to do. It's trolling behaviour just to join a thread to make negative comments, that's what is nasty, not the view of the singer.
Not a huge fan of MB I have to admit, but I think he sings absolutely beautifully on this song and to hear his soaring voice and Captain Tom's frail, elderly voice alongside of him makes me, yes, blubber like a baby as mally says.
