I must admit (and this probably won't be a popular answer) but I love it. Don't get me wrong, I'm as sick of reality-F list celebrity shows as the next man, but I find this to be infinitely watchable. It's the best reality show I've seen in......well......maybe ever. I'm ashamed to say it because the regulars on this site tend to despise low brow reality TV (as do I) but this one seems to work. Plus, at least it only lasts 2 weeks like that never ending salon drivel.
Sorry, I meant to say that it only lasts 2 weeks UNLIKE that never ending salon drivel. Stupid lack of typing skills..........
I'm with Lucas on this one. Also, notice that the executive producer is Gordon Ramsay? It does'nt matter what happens on the show;for him the money will just keep rolling in!
I watched the first episode as I thought it would be quite interesting, and also know several people involved in putting the show together, but alas it proved to be very, very dull. Ramsay hamming it up for the cameras again, Deayton showing why he's not had regular presenting work since being binned from HIGNFY, and all the "celebrities" (except Al Murray who seemed to be as down to earth as you'd expect) came across as whinging, pathetic, and boring.

The sound of the bottom of the barrel being scraped was all I could hear above Ramsay's shouting and swearing. 2 weeks? Thank god, but its still 13 days too long.

Disappointed, especially after the mini series of restaurants that were going down the pan. Dreadful choice of presenter in Mr Deaton. Al & Dwain seem to be the only two who care the rest appear to be on a massive ego trip.
Im with Lucas on this one. Im not really one for reality TV but for some unbeknown reason i seem really hooked by this programme, so much so i even voted for my favourite!! (that's 1 i'll never see again!)

Al Murray has been great, you could just about picture him barking the orders in a Gordon Ramsay type way (maybe less some of the fcuking swearing)
the woman from Corrie ,can't remember her name right now, has been so flaky im just waiting for the tears to start rolling and the tempers flaring. All in all I think it's been a good show - SO FAR!!!
It's ok....I think a lot depends on your personal view of the versimillitude of Ramsay....is he a deeply passionate chef who simply wants it all to work or a mouthy fcuker who simply screams it up for the camera and an image despite his protests to the contrary (and on that note he's a two faced git for talking away to Anthony Worral Thomson last night after all his claims about him in the past).

I agree Al Murray does seem to be the only one with any real grasp of what's going on.....does anyone believe Edwina Currie actually went to a pub and worked in the kitchen over a weekend? Does the guy from Gimme Gimme Gimme have learning difficulities as he seems unable to understand the most basic commands...and he's a bit sweaty and unhygenic...hey ho...at least I don't have to eat there.

It is utter c**p
chip ?
Hells Kitchen portrays Mr Ramsay for what he is. A Genius with quirks, most tend to have them. If the celeb chefs listen then they will learn, the man is a multi millionaire, who has worked at the best restaurants in the world with the best chefs. He has 25 yrs experience and is having a real go. I know he swears too much but he has improved every body working in the kitchen in only a few days. The menu's at the restaurant are highly ambitious and not for novices but you have to admire him because he shows no fear. AWESOME
I think its a insult to all the hard working chefs for some to think that they can just walk in to a kitchen a produce 5 star food. I train chefs and it takes 3 years to learn the basics.
At last, something exciting and fiction-free, the large public is feeling the intense heat coming out of a real kitchen directed by a genuine master of passion and dedication for food. I can only envy the candidates cooking alongside Gordon, their ride will be long, a big rollercoaster with highs and lows, straight lines and some nauseas bends but oh boy, all that adrenaline! I have seen tonights program for the first time (my excuse being in the same trade), I can only applaud Gordon Ramsay, he is not on the TV to look pretty but to give his all and show the public that his level of cooking is an art and that people are willing to consume it and therefore expect the greatest results on a plate. I have been in the catering trade for nearly 20 years now and really think this program is the best thing that could ever happened for this industry. Monsieur Gordon Ramsay, tous mes respects From Bruno Gautier, Maitre d'hotel. PS: 100 uses for an egg, SEE Make up section or wait until breakfast (lovely scrambled after a boozy night)
