My sons friend who was in his class at school was found dead in bed by his mum. He didn’t come down for breakfast and she went to check on him. Apparently they say it’s a case of adult Sudden Death Syndrome - his heart simply just stopped. He was only 19. How in gods name do you ever get over that??

Oh no. This happened to someone I used to work with, about 10 years ago now. Exactly the same, went to get her son up and he was dead, same reason. He was 17. The one thing that haunted her most at first was that she had been calling him to get up for ages and was really cross as she went upstairs. She kept saying "just bring him back to me and I'll never be cross with him again"
my work mate died at 21 from this he'd just got married two weeks earlier a nicer couple you could not wish to meet, he was found at work sat with a newspaper in his hands on his 1/4 hour tea break .
One of my friends died from this about 3 years ago. 34 years old, with a 12 and 4 year old. She collapsed at work, and died within hours.
The PM never found anything, her heart was sent to specialists to be tested and nothing was ever found.
Her parents just looked broken at her funeral. She was so happy and healthy up to then.

And so so sorry for everyone that commented that’s known someone go thru this - it’s just not something I’ve ever thought about. So so shocking.....:(
What a terrible thing to happen, that is no age at all.

I really feel for his family and friends.
I would like say that you never ever get over the loss of a child. Sometimes you wish that you were with them
This happened to the son of the couple who live next to me in France. I had only a passing acquaintance with the lad and it devastated me, how they coped I just do not know.
He was only 13, gifted and talented and a really nice lad.
Life ain't fair...
No parent should bury their child, a heartbreaking situation.
