Hi all
This was my initial post a while back:
http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Home-and-Garden /Question773850.html

The friends of ours have since been and talked to the 'bonfire-mad' woman next door as she now plays her radio at full blast in the garden pointing towards their house whenever she hears them make a sound. She then goes out leaving the radio blasting! This is a very regular occurance. And when my friends had people round for a BBQ the husband called the mad woman next door to ask her to turn it down.
He was faced with a barrage of abuse and she told him his sons are little bstards (they are 8 and 10!!! and lovely boys!). She said she hates children and that she wishes she was with her now deceased husband and if she decided to take her own life she would care if she took someone elses with her.
She also said she knows 'people' who will kill someone. and then incinuated that she would kill the two children.

My friend is obviously very very upset. They are a really nice NORMAL family and the kids are no trouble at all.
Any advice? I think police involvement or council involvement will only make things worse and they are now completely beholden to her behaviour! (she is insane!!! Literally!)

Thanks Zacsmaster - she should definately qualify for one - but the whole issue is I think things would get even worse if she is antagonised further.
I wish there was a way her electricty could be cut off when she plays her radio loud!
She is vile - over 60 years old - and not prepared to listen or be reasonable.
I dont know what you can do other than involve the authorities which will make things worse for a period of time

Keep a diary of events. You need to detail times, nature of disturbance and how it is affecting you at that time.
When you have enough evidence of anti social behaviour you can go to the environmental health people and take from there.

Hmm have you ever thought of digging a 20 ft hole in her garden and covering the top with fake grass, she would then fall in and then make a great talking point at your garden partys where you and your friends could laugh, taunt and point at the screaming hag as you chuck morsels to her.......... If they act like an animal treat em like an animal i say !

Hey Zacs... lowest form of with you know.. sarcasm! ha ha
I didnt merely want to share it with you - I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions as to how to resolve the issues. Its pretty damn low to threaten to kill someones children because the noise they make upsets you - so we are not dealing with a rational person.
If her threat is empty then there is not risk - but 'what if' she does know someone... what if she did do something???
She has already said if they call the police she will deny saying it... SO what are they going to do other than tick her off?
I cant see a solution to this? And I was wondering if any of you wise old ABers could....
