I joined a Facebook group for cleaning ladies..I expected to get tips and ideas to make cleaning easier or recommendations for new products.

There is a few posts relating to those type of things but I'm appalled to see photos taken in the clients home showing untidy rooms and things not put away.. one post had in excess of 20 photos taken in a clients home, posted on social media!

Makes you think twice employing someone who would do that.

We don’t pay our cleaner to tidy up, we pay her to clean, which she can’t do thoroughly if the place is a tip.
I’d rather she spent the time here cleaning than putting our stuff away, that’s our job.
Mind you, our house is pretty much tidy all the time.
I would never expect a cleaner to tidy up. That's not cleaning and I would hate to think that people were opening cupboards and drawers and handling my stuff. I do the tidying and things like cleaning sinks and loos. and the very occasional dusting I would never ever expect a cleaner or trust a cleaner to clean sinks and loos. I clean sinks and loos daily. My OH is now the cleaner of stuff I can't manage.
It's like giving the walls a coat of paint before the decoraters come.
When I had a cleaner, I always tidied up before she came. I didn’t see that as her job. That was to clean.
i'm shocked how many people can afford a cleaner
It would stress me out to have a cleaner invading my home and my life. I couldn't loaf about in scruffy PJs and be untidy if I wanted to. I hate the thought of a stranger roaming round my house.
