Brexit
The problem is, if folk don't vote for a party only because they will not win the General Election, how are they to gain or increase their party's representation in Parliament?

I got brexit too!! Not a chance in hell.
Look at your local candidates and choose the one that's going to represent your views best - especially if you're not allied to a particular party.
Forgot to say Tory first - libdem last. Which was accurate
the problem I see with it as a guide on how to vote is that there is no kind of consideration about the realsim of the claims....not just how likely the party in question is to make good on them but how possible it would be for ANYBODY to achieve them. A good example of this is the NHS. Honestly having seen it from both the outside and the inside, just pouring in money is really not a solution....so if that is your priority, voting for the party who promises to funnel in the most dosh may not get you what you want if you don't think about whether they really will do it (and how they will pay for it) and whether it will actually do any good.
CorbyLoon, that’s true, and I usually vote for a party that comes a very distant third. I want the party and the electorate to know it has support in order to encourage it to put up better candidates and get more votes.
However, I’m voting tactically this time, for the party that has the better chance of getting the current Tory out. As it happens it coincides with my result in the quiz.
Did the quiz. My results are:
1. SNP
2. Labour
3. Lib Dem
4. Brexit
5. Conservative
6. UKIP

Almost, but not quite 100% accurate.
Interesting quiz. For me, Conservative, Green, Lib Dem and Labour all scored in the range 75% to 82%!
You say you don't want to waste your vote fruitsalad, but voting 'leave' for Brexit was a wasted vote wasn't it ? We're still in and personally I can't ever see us coming out thanks to all the 'remainer' MP's thwarting every attempt to leave and thereby killing democracy stone cold dead. This is the reason why I definitely won't be voting again and I am very happy with that decision.
If you want leave it seems the Conservatives are the only realistic option - sorry Nige.
You're not alone, fruity - I'm in exactly the same boat. I've been reading through this

to try and make a bit more sense of it all. Might help a few more people make their minds up.
