I'm not fond of them, stewing dumplings that is. They are a bit like tight knitted balls of bread. Sometimes, especially when fried in Jamaican dishes, they will be sweetened, these are the more flavoursome kind.
Will reserve judgement then, till tomorrow night as we’re having them for our evening meal. We’ll be having them with a creamy mushroom sauce with softened onions and peppers added.
Seems they’re a ‘marmite’ food...love them or hate them. Must admit, texture plays an important part for me in liking or disliking some foods.
