Usual Tory pre-election trumpeting "we'll give back £1 of every £10 we've taken over the life of our parliament" which the Hard Right Press then trumpet as a mighty generous gesture deserving our vote.
I find nothing remarkable in this. The Queen's Speech is weitten by the government of the day setting out its legislative programme. What is so different about this one?
BTW, the Queen is HM and not HRH.

That's what the queen's speech always is. It's written by whichever government, and she reads it.

I didn't see it by the way, but I can imagine the kind of stuff that was in it.
now, now, lad, the queen is HM, not HRH.

Can't take it Don't give it !.
The queens speech is a political statement. It always has been and always will be. Anyone who doesn’t understand that probably needs to read up on it a bit.

And even if it was a party political broadcast ready for the inevitable GE then good for him.

The Queen’s Speech is simply the queen reading the programme for the coming parliament. With lots of plugs for the programme along the way.
The difference here is that there is next to no chance of any of it happening before a general election. That isn’t necessarily a cause for emissions of steam from the ears but worth pointing out.
And as it is political, then so is the response. That is why it gets debated and criticised for its content.
