I was having a lovely eve last night reading a book in garden when I came in to finish dinner and left it out there. It’s then rained all night! Just stick in airing cupboard /elsewhere, or is it beyond saving ??

It will be very bent and crispy but you’ll still be able to read it. Fan the pages out so they all get some air and warmth.

Ok I’ll give that a go, thanks hun. Am so cross, don’t think I’ve ever done that before.
Some good luck is coming your way soon, I'm sure of it. Law of averages, and all that...

♫ Someone left her book out in the rain
I don't think that she can take it
'Cause it took so long to read it
And she'll never find her place in it again
Oh, no! ♫ ;-)

Am so cross lol, it was such a lovely hot evening, then I came in and forgot I’d left it on garden table. Then the heavens opened overnight.......
I'm sure you're not the first or will be the last to forget that their book is outside, Smow. Don't beat yourself up over it, just follow the instructions on the vid and your book should be saved.
Is it an expensive hardback book? . If it’s only a paperback is it worth the effort to dry it?

We are all dying to know the title of the book Smow.

Was it...…….. Rain by W. Somerset Maugham? (^_*)
Probably too late to help you but I've done this a lot, also left my Kindle out, dashed out at 3 am in the pouring rain to retrieve it.
Fan the pages as best you can and prop it up in the airing cupboard on a towel, standing on the open pages rather than the back, it encourages them not to stick too badly.
I once started reading a paperback when on holiday that had been left in the guest library. It obviously had taken a dip in the swimming pool with it's owner but had dried out quite well and the pages had not stuck together too badly. All was well and I was captivated with the gripping story but as I got to the end I found about 30 pages were missing and I never learnt what the plot was all about. :-(
At least you didn't leave the cake out in the rain....you'll never have that recipe again.
