Looking to buy new tyres for car, so on looking at the fuel and breaking performance on the tyres. Is it really worth paying the extra for a top of the range brand that is showing a (B) or (C) rating for fuel. Thanks
That depends, I think, on how much mileage you do. If you often make long trips, on fast roads, then it might be a good idea to get the best tyres that you can afford. After all, you no doubt want to feel safe and secure when you're driving your car. If, however, you do only short trips, pottering about in your neighbourhood, maybe cheaper (but still new) tyres would be OK.
Just bought 4 Roadstone Eurovis Sport 04 tyres. The guys who run the small family run tyre fitters in my local town all fit them to their cars. Happy so far, especially with road noise.
