It would be interesting to know how many were surveyed by Mr Cupid.

I should imagine they are more comfortable than a tight brief or thong whilst working especially.

the word butch stems from a social ideology. Why should women have long hair? Who say's that's what it takes to be a woman? Pretty sure all it takes is a vagina to be honest.
But if a woman is attracted to females, why would they want their partner to look masculine? It doesnt make sense.
People are attracted to people for many different reasons, some men like curvy feminine women, some like slim athletic builds.

We are all different and the World turns Dave.
My dads partner is quite butch. He loved her as a person. She's completely opposite to my mum.
I always think with these things it is perception rather than fact that is portrayed in the media.

With the advent of social media minority groups it has become possible to make you minority view seem far bigger than it actually is and this, with all the LBGT movement and metoo brigade, is more than likely what has happened here. No doubt the percentages have always been the same, although granted due to social restraints many may not have acted on their true feelings.

I wear blokes boxers - they are very comfortable
I do too sometimes.
Youngmafbog, your comments of 12.36 strike me as very relevant observation.
But a lot of lesbian couples have one that appears masculine, it seems to quite be a common theme. Nobody has given a rational explanation as yet.
Is the Daily Mail sure that's what's happening ? After all, from the woman's point of view, after you've had the kids you wanted, no need to put up with all that awful messy sex & grunting thing. May as well move out and shack up with your friend.
OG, I share at least some of your point of view. A lot of women seem to be brought up to see their primary aim and justification for existing (certainly a measure of self-worth) to demonstrate fertility, having children. This is definitely very rarely the case with males, if ever. Once that box is ticked, the drudgery of the achievement (every aspect of it) must in this day and age cause many women when they can very easily exist without male support to ask themselves "Why all of that ?". To dump all the paraphernalia must be a very appealing option if, once useful for that objective, the mechanism (a partner/husband) is now superfluous to requirements. We already know that deliberate pregnancy without consultation/agreement with/from the male happens a lot, no doubt as a result of the pressure to produce. There are those who suggest a male contraceptive as convenient and effective as the Pill (for women) has been deliberately held up to avoid a sharp decline in the birth rate - I don't support that theory, although it is not so wild.
Women aren't just "brought up" that way, Karl. It is a deep seated, biological instinct. You must have seen the expense, pain, efforts and time women will go to with IVF, just for the off chance of having a baby...
But I agree, after that, and I suspect, after the menopause where women will naturally not be so driven to want to have sex/ get pregnant, there is little motivation to.
"What’s fuelling the Rise of the later-life lesbians?"
(Though I somehow doubt this is true given the source)
Abusive men perhaps.
Although karl, I am not sure about no agreement from the male... are you suggesting men are being forced to have sex, or that they have no idea of the possible consequences?
