Who cares anyway?
I care deeply, jim. My entire Weltanschauung is imperilled. You can even buy cans of gender fluid at Halford's. What is the country coming to?
PP...was that directed at me?

/// Although many older men seem to hate women. ///

No we don't, what we do hate is the change in some of the women of today.

In have been married to my wife for 64 years, I wonder how many of today's marriages will last that long?
mmmm. if you're xx identifying as female, attracted to xy identifying as female, are you a lesbian?
Out of interest, aog, which "changes" do you hate the most?
-- answer removed --
mushroom..LOL.
Personally, I think it's just less hidden and there is more choice. People are not stuck with someone forever if they don't want to be.
Lol, sparkly. Won't be around long, I suspect.
I said 'many older men', AOG. The comment wasn't aimed at you specifically.
I know a lot of older men who believe women should be 'kept in their place', living only to make the lives of their men comfortable and think it is only right and proper that they make all the major decisions.
I know a few older men who believe that as they are retired they can do as they darn well please, never lift a finger round the house or make so much as a cup of tea while their wives keep on doing all the cooking, cleaning and running round after their husbands.
Younger women aren't going to stand for that when they reach retirement age.
There is a rise in 'man-hating' today. Haven't you heard the wimmin droning on about the Patriarchy.

/// These men secretly harbour the thought that any lesbian simply needs to meet the 'right' man to have such peculiar ideas expunged from her mind on a wave of 'proper' intimate experience, the sort that only a man (like them!) can provide. ///

For your information this thread is about women who have already met the 'right' man, but only to find in their later years, that they would now wish to seek a Lesbian relationship.

It is not about members of the female sex who become Lesbians without even experiencing a relationship with a man.
Bisexual? Makes sense to me to be with a man when you want children and as you get older, prefer someone with better taste in films.
BA material right there, pixie.
Thanks lol (I won't hold my breath...) x
The media these days seem to keep up a constant stream of items regarding sex. Whether it's gays, transsexuals, lesbians or the LGBT community . It would seem that it is elderly lesbians at the moment. It is nothing new for two women to be attracted to one another but in the past they would have got together and lived quite happily as a couple without anyone giving them a second thought . In fact the word--'lesbian'---was never used . No-one sniggered or singled them out as being different. I don't think anybody even gave a second thought that they might be having a sexual relationship. Nowadays there is far too much emphasis on a persons sexuality. What happens behind closed doors and in the bedroom is their business and no-one elses.
//better taste in films.//

not sure any individual can define that statement, except in terms of that in which they have a preference. is that what you meant by "better", liking the same media as you?
AOG // For your information this thread is about women who have already met the 'right' man, but only to find in their later years, that they would now wish to seek a Lesbian relationship. //

For your information, I will comment on the thread as I see fit, and do not require direction for the point of my answers.

// It is not about members of the female sex who become Lesbians without even experiencing a relationship with a man. //

Any thread develops its direction from the points people raise, and almost never does it stick directly to the OP.

/// I know a lot of older men who believe women should be 'kept in their place', living only to make the lives of their men comfortable and think it is only right and proper that they make all the major decisions. ///

Do you really know a lot of old men or are you just assuming?

I could also say that I know a lot of women who have a firm hold on the purse strings and demand that they make all major decisions themselves.

/// I know a few older men who believe that as they are retired they can do as they darn well please, never lift a finger round the house or make so much as a cup of tea while their wives keep on doing all the cooking, cleaning ///

I could also say that I know many older men, who throughout their younger days, served their country, fixed the family car, carried out all the DIY jobs around the house and garden, opened hard to open jars etc etc.

Yes all that while holding down a job to support his wife and family, so wasn't it fair for the wife to stay comfortable at home to look after the children when they weren't at school, and to do a little cooking and cleaning in their spare time?
