No it sodding well isn't. The grass is looking seedy, and I have to water my garden at night because of the hosepipe ban. It's really fine, hot, not humid, fresh breeze, utterly horrible infact :)

Weather wise, clearer sky now, in fact there is the most beautiful turquoise sky over the sea, so will have to go and water the plant pots after all.

sophie, it's truly awful, I believe the sprinklers have even impeded a round or two of golf, this cursed sunshine. Today there was a small risk of rain, so I had to take my waterproofs to work, but no, just sunshine. At least there was a cooling breeze to take the worst of it away.

I won't need to water the lawn at dead of night mazie, because there is a gentle rain on my conservatory roof, and probably on the garden also.

I have the conservatory door open, but it is edging away from heat such that I have had to put on a thin t-shirt.

I'm just basking in the coolness at the minute whiffey. Its been so bl**dy hot here for 3 weeks and the gardens a bit of a mess. Are you in the South?

Yes mazie, I am in the south, and it is a bit cool, but there is a gentle fall of rain, my tomatoes are smiling. They have gone bananas this year, trusses beyond belief.

mine are doing OK..but some of the more exotic plants are thriving. The Brugmansias are looking great and I've never had as many figs or grapes as this year

Its disgustingly hot and humid here. It makes me very irritable. Thank god its going to rain tomorrow so the temp. can drop back down to a decent number.
