Basically get you to take clothes and and any Jewelary off, put a disposable night gown on. Then just lay on bed and scanner traverses over body. Just a bit of a humming noise while it's in operation.

You say 'Chest', do you mean chest or heart?

If it's a Cardiac CT then there may be medication and/or contrast material needed by IV.

They should have explained really.

She will be injected with CT contrast and will pass through a machine which resembles a large Polo ( the mint).
