Just heard that Zoe Ball is to take over from Chris Evans on the BBC2 breakfast show. Not too sure about this, but will reserve judgement until she actually starts. Plenty more stations if I can't take to her.

Twenty years ago she did the Breakfast Show on Radio 1 for three years and she was brilliant...
She'd be hard-pushed to be more annoying or full-of-himself than Chris Evans, with his constant talk about his wife and children. Now he's flounced off to Virgin (seemingly because his vast salary was leaked to the press) I hope nobody listens to his inane witterings on his new show.
Yes, I heard her today talking about to Chris this morning. She made me laugh when she said when she told her son Woody, he said never mind mum, someone will listen to you! I cant remember what her daughter Nelly said when she told her but she did say.

I reckon she will do alright.
She's alright is Zoe.
she can't do any worse, i never liked that ego maniac
I never listen to the show solely because of Chris Evans so will give her a try.
No one can touch Shaun Keaveney :-)
Pleased it's Zoe, when the names were given who the contenders were I hoped it would be her.
Who were the other contenders?
I hope that d---.h--d Norton wasn't in the running....
I think Zoe Ball has stood in for Ken Bruce on a few occasions. If it was her then I liked her, though she got in a muddle with PopMaster
I think I'm just hard to please, because I dislike almost every woman on national radio, and that includes Zoe Ball.

However, the BBC like her, which is the primary prerequisite, possibly the public likes her as well, less important, and she will tick the diversity boxes.

I don't listen at that time of the day, but I would have been furious on principle if Jo Whiley had got it - she continues to sound as awkward and out of her depth as a student on hospital radio, as she has done since she started.
Hope she has got it, we all like her.
I've only ever seen her on the BBC2 Strictly show and I liked her. But when she started bad mouthing the lovely Fatboy Slim aka Norman Cook after she left him for someone else then I went off her. I hate people badmouthing their other halves especially when there are children involved.
So I really have no idea whether she is the right person for this show or not. Time will tell I expect.
