Judge Rinder today:

17year old girl escaped the civil war and atrocities in DRC/Rwanda and came to UK with no education and could n't speak the language.
Within 3 years she learnt English and was offered a place to study Medicine at the University of Leeds.
Her sister who escaped earlier in her life is studying Law .

Both are amazing women.

It simply proves that sisters can squabble wherever they hail from , I can't see how it diminishes their academic achievements.

If this story is true, then absolutely well-done to them. But, I'm quite sure that I'm not the only one who finds it very difficult to comprehend how two people with absolutely no knowledge of our language and our society can come here and in three short years be studying medicine and the law.

sanmac.......the younger one had been in the UK for about 10 years after fleeing RDC and the elder one had searched for her before fleeing to the UK herself.
