I posted this a couple of weeks ago so here is an update. My Dr sent me up to A&E with an eye problem. where they gave me lots of tests, they decided that my eyes were ok but thought that I'd had a mini stroke, tests later in the week confirmed this, so now on 300mg of aspirin and atorvastatin and an increase in my Perindopril , you could have knocked me down with a feather, just did not expect that.

So glad you were seen and attended to,the new regime should help you Biccy.

Take care.x
So sorry to hear that Biccyova, thankfully you're being well treated and attended to. Hope everything goes well xxx
See it as a good thing a fortunate warning that all was not well and it got you treatment before something far worse happened. Take care of yourself
Yes that must be a bit disconcerting biccylova, to have had a stroke and not realised it. Thinking about it, it's probably better than knowing you're having one:-)
I hope you continue to improve and don't have any more, realised or not;-)
I really do sympathise Biccy. I had a mini stroke 10 years ago when I started to see double. It only lasted for a short time but the doctor said that was what had happened. I'm also on aspirin, simvastatin and two blood pressure tablets. I was 67 when mine happened. You will soon learn to live with it though. There are a lot of us who have had a mini stroke, and I'm just thankful I only had a mini one. Try not to worry too much. Kind regards, Helen.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts, I feel fine now though still a bit shocked, at least I will be more aware in future.
I managed to have a retinal TIA with no platelets
- blind in one eye for 20 mins
and I have to say it absolutely terrified me

as I thought the other side would go and I would be absolutely screwed for the rest of my life

the only thing I make sure I take are the anti-clogs every day

so well done and lucky girl and dont forget the aspirin

Thanks Peter. Yes I also was afraid I was going blind. And I feel very lucky indeed, I will certainly never forget the aspirin.
